AlterWorld: A newborn GOD

Book #8 in Play to Live 2022

A stub of a candle of His flesh was burning out in the midst of Great Nowhere. The flame of His soul flickering at the end of the wick cast myriads of silent shadows. One of the Faceless lowered her head to her shoulder, chuckled slowly, and wrinkled her brow. A local second of eternity spent ruminating, and the shadow picked up an artifact paintbrush created by His hands. Its handle was made from a young sprout of the World Tree, the tip crafted from the fur of the only Celestial Beast in that plane of reality, whose paws touched stardust itself. Carefully dipping the brush into the inkwell, the shadow froze, waiting for the scarlet drops of ink mixed with His blood to trickle down. After a few more endless moments, an incorporeal hand hovered above the parchment of the Universe. The candle's light flickered again, and the celestial bodies lined up in a curious combination, promising the reincarnated being an eternity of time multiplied by endless possibilities. The brush came down, and the calligraphic runes covered the parchment in an ornamental cursive.
